Dogs for sale
(Updated March 31, 08)

We had a very successful season 2007-08, topped with a 16th place finish in the Iditarod (95 starters). We placed 1st in the 210 Mile Percy deWolfe ahead of teams like Hans Gatt and "Fast Eddy" Hopkins. My younger dogs were run by my handlers in the Knik 200, the 100-mile Percy Jr. and several shorter local races.

The following dogs are for sale to make room for the puppies of this summer.
All dogs are in excellent health & very friendly, with current vaccination & documentation, and intact.

Call me with any questions! I won't sell you a dog if I think I don't have what you need -  and if I think you are not what the dog needs.

Prices are in Canadian or US dollars (exchange factor 1.00). Discounts possible if you buy several dogs.
Free delivery to Alaska possible in early May, late June, September, October and throughout the winter.

Name (breeder), gender, year born, father (breeder) X mother (breeder), approx. weight, comments/racing highlights, price

Jeckell (Willomitzer), male, June 2002, Jack (Gatt) x Blitzi (Kleedehn), 54 pounds.
Jeckell is a very solid team and wheel dog, but I have used him also in lead in training.
Finished 2004 and 2006 Quest, 2007 and 2008 Iditarod, plus many 200 and 300 milers. He has a nice and effective trott, and maintains his weight well. I never had to worry about this dog not making it. $1000

Joseph on left

Joseph (Willomitzer), male, June 2002, Jack (Gatt) x Blitzi (Kleedehn), 60 pounds. Littermate to Jeckell. Joseph is a speed leader ideal for 200 and 300 mile races. He has gone as far as 800 miles in the Quest at 60 below and 850 in Iditarod, but is hard to keep weight on in extreme weather (wind or 60 below). Maybe neutering would help. He is very hard driving, tall with a long stride and lanky. For some reason he refuses to understand gee and haw, but he will get the team there fast. Very gentle and affectionate.
In 08 he finished the Knik 200, Klondike 300, and Percy Jr. He ran to Elim in the 08 Iditarod and possibly could have finished, but I did not want to gamble. $1200

McQuesten (Willomitzer), male, Sep. 2005, Cassius (Willomitzer) x Takotna (Willomitzer), 46 pounds
A small but steady male, prefers a position in the team but we run him in lead also. Average eater, good feet. He is very careful with new people but not shy or skittish. In 08 he finished Knik 200, Percy Jr, His parents have been superstars on my team. $800

Tina (Willomitzer), female, Sep 2006, Jack (Gatt) x Katie (Willomitzer) 42 pounds. A very young female with good personality and willingness to work (all pups out of Jack are very head-strong and drive hard). Just finished her first bigger race, the 100-mile Percy Jr. $700

Sonny (Willomitzer), male, April 2005, Jack (Gatt) x Blue (Gatt), 46 pounds
Another hard-driving dog out of Jack. He likes to speed up the team when in lead and has a good understanding of gee and haw. Good feet, average eater. In 08 he finished Knik 200, and Percy Jr. $1000

McGrath (Willomitzer), male, 2002, Nikolai (Tunheim) x Icy (M. Holtz), 55 pounds, strong team & wheel dog, good trotter, leggy, finished Sheep Mountain 150 twice (fast trail), Quest 300, sold
